Service Pack 1 for AutoCAD 2016 and AutoCAD LT 2016 has been released. It should first become available via the Application Manager, and soon thereafter via the Knowledge Network Downloads page. The big news for this service pack is that it provides support for Windows 10. There is also a new undocumented system variable named EPDFSHX, that when set to 0, will disable the comment boxes around SHX text in PDF files. When this variable is set to 0 however, the SHX text is not real text in the PDF and therefore not searchable. As always read the README file for more information.
